7. Shelby County JV Match Team Score = 221 Season Record 15-0
Our JV team ended the season with a perfect record of 15-0 over other JV teams. Our team score of 221 was good enough for a 22 stroke victory over Botkin's JV team (and was nearly strong enough to defeat Botkin's combined JV & varsity squad). This 221 might not seam like our strongest night, but this match was one of our strongest of the year. We were without our top two JV players (Ethan D & Gabe D), and other other JV golfers really stepped up! Carter Ingle fired his lowest of the year, Bryce Lukey finished his freshman year with a great round, Luke Beaver was medalist of the match and Austin Schutz added a strong round!
6. Shelby County JV Match Team Score = 208 Season Record = 14-0
Our JV team improved to 14-0 against other JV teams with three wins on Friday. Our team score of 208 was very solid, as we were without one of our JV best, Gabe Derschem (out with a minor back muscle injury tonight). Leading the team was Ethan Dinehart with a 47. Luke Beaver added a steady 50. Bryce Lukey fired a 53 after a difficult start to his night, and Austin Schutz stepped up to add a valuable 58 for his first Top-4 JV score of the year!
Teams we beat: Jackson Center (220), Fairlawn (235), Anna (238)
***Botkins did not participate in the JV match on Friday, as they wanted to give three of their varsity members some practice time.
